The Secret Life of Bees - Sue Monk Kidd

I'd been carrying a paperback copy of this book with me for months, and kept saying "I"ll get to it eventually," as it languished in the bottom of my book bag. I finally read it, almost entirely in one sitting, while I was on vacation in Boston. The Secret Life of Bees was an incredibly enjoyable, engrossing and engaging novel. I hope that Sue Monk Kidd writes more fiction, and soon!

One Hundred Days - David Biro

David Biro's One Hundred Days : My Unexpected Journey from Doctor to Patient was an engrossing read. The story chronicles Biro's discovery of a rare disorder and his subsequent treatment and bone marrow transplant. I read this almost entirely in one sitting, and would recommend it as long as the reader doesn't mind some of the more squeamish details of medical treatments.
